Beaming Up with the EHX Canyon Delay and Looper
We were pleasantly surprised by the noises we could make on this little delay/looper from EHX. Some of our guys think it sounds like the inside of a galactic wormhole, while others compare it to the revving and imploding of many engines. Some even think these sounds were conjured from the inside of a dying star. Tell us what you think!

Apples vs. Oranges
Переглядів 4516 років тому
Can you compare apples and oranges? We made an amp out of an apple just so we could find out how it sounded compared to the Orange Micro Dark. It may or may not actually work. Featuring sweet licks, crunchy riffs, and juicy tones. Follow Guitar Showcase: Website: www.guitarshowcase.com Facebook: GuitarShowcase/ Twitter: GuitarShowcase Instagram: guitarshow...

Alembic Essence Custom Bass
Переглядів 2,5 тис.6 років тому
A quick demo track of Guitar Showcase's Terry Allen on a very cool Alembic Essence Custom bass. Pan left for the Alembic through an SVT model with a little compression; pan right for a straight uneffected DI.

Two minutes with a BEAUTIFUL Taylor PS14ce electric acoustic guitar
Переглядів 1,5 тис.7 років тому
This is the kind of guitar that demands playing, the kind that is hard to do justice in a quick video, but here's something anyway. Live Cascade ribbon mic is hard-panned left, Taylor's built-in system is on the right. Needed some compression, and just a hint of reverb.

Jack VB demos a vintage Regal Prince archtop. This thing's got an amazing neck, great projection and mojo for days! Audio recorded at 16/44. wav with a Tascam DR-44WL handheld recorder and no additional processing.
The Mystery Amp Game
Переглядів 3307 років тому
So we got this innocuous looking used amp in the shop recently that has no brand name labelling. So, being the amp geek I am, I had to open it up. Good thing I did, because it is glorious work. Then I played it, and just "wow": the thing sounds amazing, and has a reverb you could drown in.
Ampeg 2x15 loaded with EVM-15B pair - JUST $199!
Переглядів 3,8 тис.7 років тому
This old Ampeg B-25B is big. It's ugly. But it's loaded with a pair of EVM-15B's and it's loud and it sounds AWESOME and it's a steal at just $199 - come down to Guitar Showcase and get it before someone beats you to it!
Laney AOR30 ProTube - British '80s Marshall Killer!
Переглядів 12 тис.7 років тому
Rich Longacre demos a mid-1980's vintage British-made Laney AOR30 ProTube - a monster all tube "Marshall Killer" featuring dual 6V6 power; active pull boosts on Treble, Mid, and Bass controls; pull Channel boost; spring reverb; and a genuine Fane speaker. It was a great deal - and unfortunately it sold before this video could get uploaded. But check out Guitar Showcase's deals on Craigslist, an...

5 way switch for 2 humbuckers???
By any chance, did you ever take drum lessons with Charlie Davidman?
Y&T are awesome
Bought one off of eBay for $70 bucks, 100% worth it and integrates well with and audio interface into a daw.
My bass instructor back in the day! ❤
Truly one of my heroes 😊
This is awesome Just a total complete legend so cool to hear him talking in his own words
Crushed it 👍 great demo
Just bought a used 918e…..wow
cool.. i need this.. but for me the guitar out signal would have to be separate to the vocals so i can run the guitar through a looper.
This man is a legend and highly underrated. Where are the unbiased reviewers to give due credit to him
Hey, Hey, Hey ! A.J !!!
The best items were those at the end
30 year theatrical/arena stagehand/rigger, here: Dont miss seeing Dave Meniketti play, LIVE. I am still in awe of what I saw/heard/felt.
Went to high school with John Nyman and Leonard Haze was my high school president…lol😂. Crazy memories of them playing in our cafeteria in school. Back then John still had red hair 😳. I also saw them at Winterland when they opened for Queen and Mahogany Rush was 2nd bil!
thx for this little jam in B / 20m57s start.
Please do some singing and teaching videos that show chord chart for new musicians. I'm trying to teach two youth and learn at the same time. 🤙
Good Ole Boy's....🪶Superior Detailing NW will come visit soon from WA🤙
Ok Great Teaching Video. Now can you guys play and sing together?
Luck me. I own one of these. So much fun ...
Tirans contribution to the doobies sound and success can not be overstated!
Hey, Dave, it's been a minute. Great to see you went on to such success, You may recall playing with us from May to Sept 1984. Hope you're well. Jim and Mary Lang
Super informative video, thanks guys from the UK
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love you
I like my Taylor. The major reason being that if I ever want the neck reset, I can drop it off, go eat lunch, and when I get back, its done to my satisfaction with no major surgery required, as there would be with ANY set neck guitar.
i got a 1978 mc-300 ....fuck gibson
POV: You're here for the class assignment
This foo is playing some girls are bigger than others by the smiths
No one mentioned that they played on the two episodes on what's happening 😢❤
He interrupted them out of playing the instrumental. WTF!!! It was probably From the Moon, ONLY 40ish SECONDS!🤬
I have an Epiphone les paul pee wee. 1/4 scale. 😂👍🏻🎃🎃🎃
Rad!!
Happy Halloween 🎃
Much respect Dave , always a fan
Good demos. Short and sweet examples.
❤️🎼🎤🎸loved the interview and I’ve been a fan of Titan’s for years. His song ‘For Soneone Special’ remains a favorite.
Great Demo!
Some amps are cleaner than others
So taylor isn't a "hand" made guitar.. it's made all by cnc machines. Which is better anymore nowadays bc Americans are LAZY n cut corners where ever they can like most any other human being.. so my $4,499 dollar guitar is precisely made to the exact specs it should be. So my 814ec builders edition will have and does a perfect gloss, thick.. like a spotless mirror shine.. these guitars are built stronger than most all others.. the quality controls are highly checked unlike most other American made guitars.. Mexico has really kicked America's butt in quality, just inspect any American priced, but made in low paying Mexican factory guitar facility! Or Korean made major guitar factory.. ill put my Korean esp lol LTD deluxe eclipse EC - 1000T that has ebony n pearl neck inlays, ebony n pearl around the entire outer fretboard and headstock and the body has it around the entire outside with binding as the headstock does also.. it's absolutely a work of art.. emgs.. high gloss black body n neck.. gold hardware and it's the easiest playing guitar I've ever played in the 35+ years I've been playing. I've played all the top very expensive name brands and nothing beats my Korean made LTD. A few prs come close I've held n played n that's about it. I'll say the same about my 814ec grand auditorium builders edition I'm taking home after I make my last payment next Friday 09-01-2023. I can't believe I've spent just over 4 grand on a acustic but taylor are the most consistent in quality and unbelievable playability in acustic guitars... thanks to the CNC machines making it and the man made quality control lol.. hand assembled, CNC machine made! So I guess that how companies can claim their guitars are hand made when their really not... at all.. it's all made by machines! Sadly... now I'm getting a dam near perfect guitar for my VERY HARD PHYSICAL LABOR I DO TO EARN MY MONEY... but my guitar buying days are just about over at my age now so I'm buying what I really want this time around. Hopefully with the taylor name n quality this guitar had BETTER hold its value n if I take great care of it n I absolutely will, it will. This is 1 of the largest buys I've ever made, so I expect not short of perfection and I'm very confident I am after playing it and inspecting it... feeling it and hearing it... I'm very very pleased. But boy was it is very financially difficult and involved a lot of sacrifice. A lot of sh!@# meals.. many months of sitting home n doing absolutely nothing, saving every penny I could. The 1 thing I wish was different on the guitar is the neck inlays material. How cheap! Plastic.. plastic inlays on a 45 hundred dollar guitar and nothing around the outer body... taylor really has dropped the ball on this issue unless your spending $6500 or more then you get the full dress treatment and that's sad. As If their not making a killing profit off me and these guitars to where they gotta cut this corner in the name of money! Ya don't go all out on the guitar only to hold out on the inlays. Just sticking it to the customer once again is how I see it. Why build a Ferrari and put a set of factory mustang rims on it? That's how I see this issue. Or it's like wearing a tux with a pair of gym shoes! Ya just don't do it... EVER! it's an insult to your customers taylor! Doooooont do that, for the money I'm paying.. come on man. N what an insult to such a work of art of a guitar also. But yes I'm buying it still, why? Bc if I was to order the ivory and pearl inlays it would be even much more expensive than it already is, and these things are done just so you'll special order it so they can make more money.. it's called silent up selling your product. Trickery! Anyways I'm writing a dang book here I gotta stop.
Didn't Jimmy Lyons start out with Y&T back in the 70's
Rest in peace Joey Alves, Leonard Hayes and Lenny Beraz AKA: Rock the Robot. 🍃🕊️🍃
Definitely one of the best demos. Too many use exaggerated examples rather than what you would use when actually playing a gig.
When the Charvel was first introduced, I compared dozens of them and compared them to Jackson and Niel Schon. I found THE Charvel. Just got a stroke of luck and found a Laurel Canyon L100 that needed some TLC and some good strings. Great affordable mix between Martin and Taylor. I love it. Free with about 4hrs of intense labor. Very well worth it. Solid spruce top, mahogany, compensated bridge, scalloped bracing, real abalone rosett. Adjustable truss rod. Show me a better value
That’s the Sound
Sounds like message in the bottle
The Smiths = Some Girls
Love Small Potatoes
Tiran is one of the main reasons I play the bass today!! Thanks brotha for being an inspiration.
